Every March 30th, Own Nothing Day recognizes the principles of the Own Nothing Movement.
Reducing mankind’s impact on the environment is critical in a time of climate crisis. The consumerist, disposable, ownership economy has been a disaster. A circular economy, a key concept in owning nothing, will allow for access to the things people use without the need for ownership. Own Nothing Day celebrates a future free of the endless, chaotic competition for profits that strips the world bare of resources that are best left in the ground.
This day is part of a series dubbed “Holidays of the Future” that are not celebrated yet, but will be soon. The technologies behind these future holidays are featured elements of the upcoming Zombies of Things books.
